Meet Chloé, the lady who was tearing up the asphalt during the latest round of the Grassroots Autotest.

Seeing a lady pitting herself against the guys, and putting up quite a fight, piqued our interest, and we had to ask her a few questions to know more about her, find out what got her to try out autocross, and maybe even find out how we can motivate more ladies to join the scene!

POWAA Garage: Hi Chloé, it's been great seeing you spinning the yellow Mx-5 around the track, would you care to introduce yourself for our readers?
Chloé: Hi everyone, my name is Chloé, and I am from Thailand.

PG: Care to share with us how your interest in car has started?
Chloé: I've loved cars since I was maybe 8 or 9 years old, but I really grew a strong interest since I started driving.

PG: What made you decide to join the Grassroots Autotest?
Chloé: I attended the Grassroots Autocross training session on Saturday, where they taught me many techniques. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to join the race on Sunday to put my new skills to the test!

PG: How do you feel about Grassroots Autocross event?
Chloé: It was my first time taking part in motorsports, and I definitely made awesome memories.

PG: Are you satisfied with your performance?
Chloé: I was more than satisfied! The performance itself did not really matter; what made it so great is that I was doing what I like, so I was able to really enjoy it!

PG: Spoken like a true motorhead! Do you have any future plans to take part in more motorsports events?
Chloé: I'm not sure yet, my body still aching from the Autotest! I think I want to have another go at it soon, you will be the first one to know.

PG: We look forward to it! One question that must be on many people's lips is how does it feel to be the only lady in a “guy’s world”?
Chloé: In all honesty, at first I was afraid to be laughed at by the guys! But they actually showed great support; and in the end, it's not about gender, it's about doing what we love, and enjoying it!

PG: It's true that from what we saw, you definitely had more admirers then people mocking you!
Lastly, if you could give any advice to the ladies out there who would be interested in starting motorsports, what would it be?
Chloé: To all ladies out there... Come join us! Don't be shy, just give it a try and discover for yourself how much fun it is to take part. The most important is that you will learn a lot. Motorsports will teach you to control your car better, and you will feel safer out there on the road.
